homemade sub rolls 🥖 recipe by @Isabella’s Kitchen 🤍 ingredients: + 500 g bread flour + 325 ml warm water + 2 tbsp sugar + 1 tbsp yeast + 1 tsp salt + 3 tbsp butter directions: + mix yeast and sugar in warm water and let rest for 5-10 min until foamy + add to stand mixer with half of flour and mix until combined + add remaining flour and mix until dough isn’t sticking to bowl + add salt, mix a few min + add cubes of cold butter slowly and continue to mix for 5-7 min + oil boil, cover with a towel, and let rest for an hour + divide dough into 5 pieces (see notes) + stretch each into a rectangle shape and roll longways + lay on parchment lined baking sheet, cover and rest for another 45 min + put a couple ice cubes in an oven safe dish on 400 + add rolls, turn down to 365, bake 22 min + brush with a little butter and sprinkle with salt notes: + this was my first time making these clearly bc they are not even whatsoever 😂 but still delicious none the less + I thought it said to divide into 6, but looking back she said 5 so that makes sense why mine seemed smaller than hers
