From Tokyo you can easily hop on a train in the middle of skyscrapers and get off 1h later in the middle of the Japanese nature. 📍 This place is Okutama, west of Tokyo. It’s 1h30 from Shinjuku station on the JC line. There are several mounts and mountains around that are popular hiking spots for locals. But you can also come and enjoy an easy walk in the forest or around the surrounding village. Some cafes and restaurants are hideen gems with amzing views over the surrounding mountains✌️
