Actress Kim Sae Ron was found dead in her home earlier today, February 16, 2025. According to a police official’s statement to Dispatch, a report was sent to police at 4:50 pm regarding Kim Sae Ron and emergency services were sent to her home. The person who first discovered Kim Sae Ron was an acquaintance. The police are planning to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death after receiving a testimony from her acquaintance who first reported the situation to the police. The police also stated there were no signs of criminal activity or trespassing but will continue to investigate the case. No further details were revealed by the police. An acquaintance of Kim Sae Ron’s told media outlet Edaily she had changed her name to Kim Ah Im and was preparing to open up a cafe with her friends alongside returning to entertainment activities. She was planning to return to the acting scene with the theatrical play 'Dongchimi' in May 2024, but she eventually dropped out, citing health concerns.
