8 people died and 16 got injured after a speeding double decker bus collided with a stationary bus at Purvanchal expressway near Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh on July 25. The bus was travelling from Bihar to Delhi. After the incident, 3 people were left severely injured and are reported to be in a critical condition. They have been referred to trauma centre in Lucknow. “In Purvanchal expressway accident, 8 dead while 16 are injured. Severely injured sent to the trauma centre, those with minor injuries are being treated at CHC. Post-mortem of those who died is ongoing. Further investigation is underway,” said Anurag Vats, SP Barabanki, UP.
